Vienna Private Tour: Salzburg via Hallstatt
Highlights
Enjoy the Austrian lake district and the lakeside village Hallstatt in elegance on an 8-hour private tour departing from Vienna. The journey ends in Salzburg, where you may choose to end the day in your hotel or take the train back to Vienna as an option (it is a ride of about 2h30min).
The Lake District, locally referred to as the “Salzkammergut,” is the only place in Austria where the most picturesque elements are so densely clustered together.
This region of Austria is utterly unique due to the presence of mountains, lakes, and one of the most picturesque lakeside communities in the world.

Tour Overview
Prepare for the 10:00 am pick-up and board your luxurious tour vehicle. Enjoy the scenery as you travel through the Lake District; the first lake, Lake Traunsee, is about 600 feet deep and is located on the route to Hallstatt. It is
about 2 1/2 hours from Vienna to the Salzkammergut Lake District.
Your private guide will point out to you the must-sees of Hallstatt, which include a lovely photo spot of Hallstatt, Charnel House (Bone House), Hallstatt Museum, Hallstatt Waterfall “Waldbachstrub,” the Sky View Platform, Hallstatt’s local residential area, and more. Hallstatt is the destination and the highlight of this full-day tour. You will get two and a half hours to tour Hallstatt and eat lunch at a lakeside restaurant.
